About:Us

MMM:Metal Machine Music.

Make no mistake - we are not just metal heads.

We explain the inspiration below, but we want to make one thing clear: MMM is an event collective and individual interpretations and perspectives are at its core. No single type of music is prefered here, but let us tell you more.

Beginnings
Our Story

Each event aims to create a free space where different art forms can meet, merge and evolve. It’s a chance to explore the historical dynamics that shaped the music we know today.

But, where did the concept come from?

"Metal Machine Music" - Lou Reed (1975)

This record marks a turning point in music history, igniting new genres and prompting a fundamental question: what do we consider music, and what do we expect from it?

Its strange, looped assemblage of noise challenges traditional definitions, especially coming from an artist fully capable of writing conventional songs.

Though initially rejected - particularly by listeners expecting familiar work, it was later recognized as a foundational noise album.

History ultimately answered the question it posed: yes, this too is music.

This debate is timeless. Every definition of music meets its opposition. But here’s a simple perspective:

Each sound can be represented by a number. Music is essentially a combination of sounds, therefore a combination of numbers.

But numbers are infinite, right?

Can we define, nowadays, what the infinity is?

Last time we checked that wasn’t the case.

So why limit music? Let’s embrace its endless possibilities-

because if it moves us, it matters.
